• Combine and use every technique that is most applicable to both the class and/or students: Maslow's Hierchy of Needs, Erikson's Stages of Development, Constructivism, etc.
  •  Time On Task: I will make sure that each time in class is spent wisely
  • I will always evolve as a teacher. I must not use the same technique necessarily every year because each class is different from the next. (me walking with monkey---->)
  • I can adapt to new technologies (Web, PowerPoint, Computers)  as well as utilize traditional techniques (library, books, chalk boards, projector, VHS) (me and laptop---->)
  • Time Management: I will use every bit of minute I have with the students wisely by starting on time and also not ending class until the last second.
  • I must also observe and study other teachers on how and why they teach a certain style. (Me with sister, watching T.V., and statue --->)
  • I must also be strict and confident about my rules and activities

I think that backwards mapping is a new great tool to utilize in classrooms. This helps set a clear goal and assists in how to planning accordingly to satisfy those goals.

From my experience at my placement, I see that the students love and benefit greatly from the teacher presenting their work on the walls for them to see visually. Students seem to feel that their work has value and that it isn't just performing school when they complete these tasks.

As a teacher, I understand that I will be molded according to the type of students that I have. Some students will benefit greatly from certain strategies while others might not.
