I think that backwards mapping is a new great tool to utilize in classrooms. This helps set a clear goal and assists in how to planning accordingly to satisfy those goals. From my experience at my placement, I see that the students love and benefit greatly from the teacher presenting their work on the walls for them to see visually. Students seem to feel that their work has value and that it isn't just performing school when they complete these tasks. As a teacher, I understand that I will be molded according to the type of students that I have. Some students will benefit greatly from certain strategies while others might not. |
